Man! What a week. Photoshoot, studio, show, party/SNOW, and closing on my condo. This year has been a very crazy year with a lot of ups and downs, but mostly ups. I sent a blackberry message to my bbm family the other day that basically said, “stop and look at what you have accomplished in 2009 and tell yourself, ‘self, I’m proud of you.’” Very rarely do we give ourselves a pat on the back and see all that we have achieved and have overcome. It is very easy to overlook our own accomplishments, due to comparison to others, or seeing said accomplishments as a step to the end result (the bigger picture). But, as I sat in MY living room this weekend, I just took in all that I accomplished and just continued to tell myself how proud I was of me. Although weird and awkward, I forced it on myself and made sure that I knew that I should be proud. So if you are looking back at 2009, don’t only look at what you didn’t accomplish, but what you did, it will benefit you in ways you can’t imagine.
