It is a sad day when such an amazing basketball player, clearly hall of fame bound, retires without a championship. Patrick Ewing comes to mind, but that is my Knickerbocker blood showing. But Allen Iverson was one of the most respected players in the NBA during his career. Not only did you know you were going to get 20+ points from him, but you knew you needed to wear padded ankle braces in preparation for his menacing, screw-face making, whole body moving cross over. I remember when I was in Junior High School, EVERYONE was either learning the “Tim Hardaway crossover” or the “Allen Iverson crossover” and to me the ladder was more effective. As you watch this video you can’t help but 1. make a screw face 2. Be inspired by his passion, tenacity, and drive 3. Say, “OOO… OR AHHH”. Tip of the hat to you, Allen, your legacy shall live on. Hopefully you get to play again and win that championship.
