I must say that this quote is as accurate as it gets. Precious is a realistic, emotionally draining, yet inspiring feature film. With the exceptional acting of Mo’nique and its supporting cast, the movie does not seem overdone or typical. Now, I would be a horrible friend if I did not encourage you to bring a flask full of your choice Vodka, (mine would be Grey Goose), because this movie will take you through a story that not only squeezes out every ounce of joy you have, but will make you think twice about overlooking inner city kids and their situations.
The cast included, Gabourey, “Gabbie” Sidibe who played “Precious,” Paula Patton, Lenny Kravitz, and Mariah Carey. All played their role very well, never removing me from the story, however, the award for “Best Performance” goes to Read more…
